This brushless motor was conceived as a more affordable alternative to the legendary Warhead CNC Black Brushless Motor, boasting similar performance at an unbeatable price point. This, the long shaft variant, is designed for standard M4/AR-15, SMG-5, G3 and P90 AEGs. Like the Warhead CNC Black motor used in Bolster Armouries builds, the Base boasts an ESC (electronic speed control) module which protects your battery, provides low-voltage cutoff and regulates speed to keep the immense power of the Base under control. The primary difference between the Base and the CNC Black is that the base uses a cast aluminium housing instead of a CNC machined one and the stator is wound via machines while the CNC Black is hand-wound. The advantages of running a brushless motor are numerous, the most important of which is a far higher torque to weight ratio than conventional motors. The lack of brushes means there is less to go wrong and the motor is far quieter when running, guaranteeing a longer lifespan of smooth running performance. That said, these motors are intended for highly upgraded setups so we only recommend them for those who are confident working on AEG internals.
