About C96 Pistol The Mauser C96, also known as the Construktion 96, is a semi-automatic pistol that was originally made by the German firearms manufacturer Mauser. Its production spanned from 1896 to 1937. During the first half of the 20th century, unlicensed copies of the C96 were also manufactured in Spain and China. The C96 is characterized by several distinct features. These include the integral box magazine located in front of the trigger, a long barrel, a wooden shoulder stock that doubles as a holster or carrying case, and a grip shaped like a broom handle.
