While it is a full metal build, the spring behind the charging handle is rather strong and carrying out the "HK Slap" can damage the charging handle and cocking tube. Any damage caused by the "HK slap" is not covered by your usual 12-month warranty. A full metal build which is lighter than it looks, CA's G3A4 makes a fantastic base platform for a Swedish or Norwegian-inspired custom G3 build, but also looks fantastic as it is, bringing the cold, calculating German vibe to a full-fat battle rifle which will definitely turn heads on gameday. Inside, this build is based around a version 2 gearbox with 18:1 ratio steel gears running on 9mm steel ball bearing bushings for a smooth, unlaboured gearbox report. An in-line MOSFET is pre-installed to prevent trigger lockups and enhance the rate of fire and trigger response. All internals are TM-spec, meaning aftermarket upgrades are prolific and ever available. We think this would make a fantastic DMR base gun, matching the looks of real-world G3 DMRs with version 2 gearbox compatibility!
