About Real Colt Python Revolver The Colt Python is a double-action and single-action revolver chambered for the powerful .357 Magnum cartridge, and it is widely considered one of the finest production revolvers ever made, often called the "Rolls-Royce of Colt revolvers." It was introduced in 1955 to compete in the premium revolver market, originally intended as a .38 Special target revolver, and it became famous for its elegant design, superb accuracy, and an exceptionally smooth trigger pull that is legendary among shooters.
