History of VP9 The VP9 is the H&K latest pistol release in June 2014. It is a polymer-framed semi-automatic striker-fired pistol. It was under development for more than four years and improved from HK P30 type. The name of VP means "Volkspistole" (People's pistol) and inherits from the VP70.
