DNA M16A2 (MOD 715) GBB Airsoft Rifle

About Real M16A2 The M16A2 is an enhanced variant of the M16 assault rifle family, chambered in 5.56?45mm NATO. Developed primarily for the U.S. Marine Corps drawing from Vietnam War experience, it was officially adopted in 1983 and served as the main U.S. military service rifle from the mid-1980s through the 1990s and into the early 2000s, before gradual replacement by the M16A4 and M4 carbine in frontline units. Key upgrades over the M16A1 include a heavier, thicker barrel for superior heat resistance, durability in rough handling and bayonet drills, and sustained accuracy; a faster 1:7 rifling twist to properly stabilize the heavier M855/SS109 round; three-round burst fire mode instead of full-automatic to improve control, reduce muzzle climb, increase hit probability, and conserve ammunition; round ribbed handguards for greater strength; reinforced pistol grip and buttstock with slip-resistant buttplate; added brass deflector for left-handed shooters; fully adjustable rear peep sight with dual apertures effective out to 800 meters; and an improved birdcage flash hider/compensator. It retains the classic direct impingement gas system, rotating bolt, lightweight aluminum receiver, and ergonomic layout. The rifle has a 20-inch barrel, overall length of about 39.6 inches, empty weight around 7.5 pounds, and loaded weight (with 30-round magazine) of roughly 8.8 pounds. Muzzle velocity with M855 ammunition is approximately 3,100 feet per second, providing an effective range of 550?600 meters for point targets and up to 800 meters for area/suppressive fire. The M16A2 saw combat in operations such as Panama (1989), the Gulf War (1991), Somalia (1992?1993), and the initial stages of Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts. Its reliable performance when maintained, along with historical significance, keeps it iconic today; civilian semi-automatic reproductions and clones remain popular among collectors, competitive shooters, and enthusiasts for training, sport, and historical appr
